Providence Bay directions
PROVIDENCE BAY - 29 JUL 07
- Depart United Church parking lot by 0800 hrs. If you are a passenger remember to offer the driver cash to offset the cost. Aim to reach Providence Bay by 1100 hrs for the service at 1130hrs.The trip is 2.5 to 3 hours,depending on conditions.
- Route:
- Follow your nose to Manitoulin Island. West from Little Current on route 540 to West Bay, then south (for the directionally challenged, tum left) on route 55I all the way to Providence Bay. The United Church is on the right shortly after you enter town.
- Dress:
- Summer casual, remembering that you will be singing at a church service.
- Attendance:
- I will canvass the group to find out how many will definitely be unable to attend. I ask John and Al to phone the folks on their lists a few days before the 29th as a reminder and to confirm availability.
- Songs
- Jean will give us a list later and it will be on the blog.
.THE PICNIC:
- Harold and Jean's cottage is at Stanley Park. For directions, follow someone who knows where he/she is going!
-Jean and Harold will provide the following:
- condiments
- coffee and tea
- napkins
- drinking glasses
- BBQ's
. YOU WILL HAVE TO BRING:
- Refreshments
- Meat
- Salads and desserts will be pot-luck. so bring more than needed to feed our own gluttony
- Cutlery
- Lawn chair(s)
- Bathing suit if you wish to swim and do not object to exposing yourself to the rest of us!
- This is a rain or shine event. Should it rain, Jean and Harold will arrange our use of the recreational hall
